Combine your visit with...

Did you enjoy the Royal Eise Eisinga Planetarium? You may want to combine your visit with one of the following sites.

  • Museum Martena: located in the Martenastins, a city castle dating from 1506. The museum displays many different aspects of Franeker's history. The temporary exhibitions are often dedicated to contemporary Frisian art.
Tip: a visit to Museum Martena can easily be combined with a visit to the Planetarium. Check out the special combination rates!
  • Theater de Koornbeurs: located in the historic heart of the town of Franeker, a stone's throw from the Eisinga Planetarium.
  • Jacob ten Hoeve Uurwerken: designs and makes clocks, combining the craft with modern design through to contemporary design clocks. Jacob ten Hoeve also carries out the maintenance work of the Eisinga Planetarium, and restores pieces from the Planetarium’s collection.
  • Nauta Boat Rental: book a boat trip package and visit the Eisinga Planetarium.
  • The Kaatsmuseum: find out all about this special Frisian sport
